Holidays are among us...

Before Molly, B and I always talked about things we looked forward to as parents.

Note: I am pretty sure I asked the obnoxious question "What are you most excited about?" weekly. For a man I think once is fun, but after oh maybe the 10th week, it becomes a little bit like the girly "what are you thinking?". One of the main things we both said was getting to experience all those fun and amazing childhood things that you really just can't get back as an adult. This picture made me think of how I would probably NEVER have thought to get this Halloween crazy until my sweet little girl came into the picture. So, just a few other holiday things that are so amazing as a child and I cant wait to experience through Molly...

  • Trick or Treating...when she knows what's going on. Ofcourse she will be dressed up until then, but I think when she really gets it will be better. Again, I am ignoring the part where I will be escorting for Trick or Treating until who knows what age and trying not to think people have poisioned their candy and my child. Remember you parents not letting you eat any until they had checked all of it? What torture!

  • Christmas morning...the obvious. No ofcourse I am not going to spoil my child with everything she wants...well at least that is the plan. Anway, it's not even the present part. It's the anticipation of Christmas and all that goes with it. For me it was always the festivities and excitement (ok I'm lying, I loved the present part too, what kid doesn't?), visiting family and decorating with my Mom and Granny.

  • Fourth of July Fireworks...Not real sure if she will be one of those children who screams bloody murder for fireworks or thinks it's the greatest thing ever. Just incase you were wondering she has never seen fireworks because we were those people in bed at 8:00. Also griping to each other that the fireworks were too damn late. PLEASE DON'T WAKE THAT CHILD LOUD BOMB LIKE NOISE!
